Mussenden Sea Salt – Downhill Beach

The first stop was Mussenden Sea Salt, located along the stunning Downhill Beach. Claire, the creator behind the ‘Mussenden Unwind’ Embrace A Giant Spirit experience, shared her expertise on how the local sea and landscape contribute to wellness. The experience includes learning about the traditional process of harvesting sea salt and how it can be used to relax and rejuvenate. This unique blend of nature and heritage offers visitors an opportunity to truly connect with the surrounding environment.

In Portrush, the team had the chance to visit North Coast Alpacas, where Jonny introduced his herd of eight friendly alpacas. Known as ‘The Boys,’ these alpacas accompany visitors on short treks through the scenic countryside, offering stunning panoramic views of Scotland, Donegal, and the Sperrins. A highlight of the experience is the new ‘Dusk Walk,’ where guests can enjoy a peaceful evening stroll with these gentle animals.

Ella Mor – Binevenagh

The team’s exploration continued to Ella Mor, a family-run farm at the foot of Binevenagh Mountain. Heather from Ella Mor welcomed the team and showcased her ‘Needles and Tread’ and ‘Wild Farm Cookout’ experiences, which draw inspiration from traditional crafting and local food heritage. This tranquil experience is perfect for those looking to immerse themselves in Northern Ireland’s rural charm, surrounded by the natural beauty of the landscape.

Neighbourhood Collective – Castlerock

For lunch, the team stopped at Neighbourhood Collective in Castlerock, home to The Giggling Goose café. Here, visitors can enjoy locally sourced artisan dishes in an inspiring setting, surrounded by the works of local artists. The combination of fresh, seasonal food and creative surroundings makes this a standout spot for anyone exploring the area.

Finally, the team headed to The Arcadia in Portrush for an afternoon of relaxation with Free Dive NI. After a quick break for tea and coffee, they participated in a Functional Breathwork session led by Hanno.
